Hydrogeology 101, written by Neven Kresic

Free college textbook Hydrogeology 101, written by Neven Kresic, can be downloaded here. It introduces basic concepts in groundwater science and engineering with 16 lectures, the duration of a typical one or two-semester course at American universities. With hundreds of color figures and photographs, it covers all important topics of classic hydrogeology, and includes groundwater chemistry, groundwater contamination and remediation, field investigations, groundwater in water supply, and a guest lecture on groundwater drought in California by Alex Mikszewski. This college textbook is available for free download, and reposting for non-profit uses by all interested.

Noteable Springs of the United States, written by Neven Kresic

We are excited to announce the release of a comprehensive new book, Notable Springs of the United States, an in-depth exploration of the most significant springs across America. This scholarly work delves into the geological, hydrogeological, and historical significance of springs across various regions, including Missouri, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Texas, and beyond. Written for nature enthusiasts, geologists, and anyone fascinated by the wonders of the natural world, this book is poised to become an essential reference on American hydrogeology. This textbook is available for free download, and reposting for non-profit uses by all interested.

Groundwater modeling guidance resources

Various publications and guidance documents in the public domain that are referenced throughout our courses are provided here for free download. These include the United States Geological Survey (USGS) publications on MODFLOW, guides for fate and transport (F&T) 3D numeric models MT3DMS and RT3D.

Groundwater modeling software

Various installation files for analytical and numerical modeling are provided here for free download, including F&T models BIOSCREEN and BIOCHLOR, as well as an installation file for a fully functional Graphic User Interface (GUI) program Processing Modflow (PMWIN), a public domain version of which is used in our courses. PMWIN was developed by Dr. Eric Chiang of Simcore Software, including the latest professional version, PMWIN 11, which requires a license.
